Opening Day at New Art Gallery Boyle – July 19th
Boyle Arts Festival is nearly here, and we’re so excited to invite you to the opening day of our new exhibition at New Art Gallery Boyle, celebrating the theme of nature, landscape, seascape, and the abundant beauty they bring. It's summer, everything is in bloom, full of colour, light, and life, and so is our gallery!
Join us on Friday the 19th of July from 1–7pm for a day of art, craft, and creativity. Alongside the exhibition, we’re hosting two incredible live demonstrations that give you a chance to meet the makers and learn more about their fascinating practices:
✨ Emma Corcoran, one of our gallery members, will be sharing her beautiful stained glass work. Emma creates intricate and expressive pieces using the traditional techniques of stained glass. She’ll be offering insights into her creative process and demonstrating how her luminous works come together a rare opportunity to witness this stunning craft up close.
🧶 From Killala, County Mayo, we’re thrilled to welcome Annie Gambrill of Killala Wool Craft. Annie will be spinning yarn on her traditional wheel and you’re warmly invited to try it yourself! Annie keeps her own sheep and weaves with a handloom to create extraordinary throws, naturally dyed using foraged materials from the landscape (including peat bog water!). She’ll be chatting about her work, her sheep, and the natural dyeing process throughout the day.

🥂 To mark the occasion, we’ll also have bubbly, wine, and nibbles on hand as you browse the artwork and immerse yourself in these hands-on demonstrations of heritage craft.
Pop in any time between 1pm and 7pm, we’d love to see you there!
