Artist Statement
Eileen Keane is a Roscommon born artist and writer who moved from Kildare to Leitrim in 2023. She works primarily in print and is a founder member of the Leinster Printmaking studio. Recently the beautiful landscapes of Leitrim have inspired her to go back to drawing and painting for more spontaneous effects. Her work is inspired by the natural world. She makes traditional fine art prints using various techniques, mostly favouring Collagraph to create strong textural effects. She has exhibited with the L.P.S. all over Ireland, venues in Europe and Australia and her work is in many public and private collections.
